While many operating systems include free, native multipath I/O (MPIO) capabilities, customers often don`t know the difference between these offerings and PowerPath. This ESG Lab Validation report documents the results of hands-on testing conducted with the goal of comparing PowerPath`s optimized load-balancing and other capabilities with the native MPIO included with Microsoft Windows.
