As cloud infrastructure usage has become pervasive, so too have multi-cloud strategies. Organizations typically utilize multiple cloud service providers (CSPs) for various reasons, including business unit or developer team preferences and ensuring business continuity in the event of one provider’s outage. Recent research by Omdia examined security strategies securing workloads across cloud environments and revealed that organizations are planning to utilize cloud platforms for their AI workloads, driving new security requirements for CSPs and third-party security vendors, often based on their single- versus multi-cloud strategies.
