ESG research finds that 82% of IT organizations will increase or maintain spending levels on infrastructure management solutions in 2011, with larger organizations—as measured by both number of employees and number of servers—being most likely to increase their management software investments. Look for spending on tools related to security, network, and virtual server management. IT asset and inventory management will also be a spending priority, driven largely by firms’ increasing use of server virtualization. ESG is also seeing an increase in the need for data center power monitoring and management solutions.
